Cleanout Doors & Ash Doors

Ash Doors are generally used below grates to collect and then remove ash as well as administering air to a firebox. Cleanouts are recommended at the bottom of every vertical run and at the end of every horizontal run in a masonry heater so that soot can be cleaned out of the channels over time and provide for easy maintenance.
